Holy shit, I don't think that I have ever seen a lineup that big where every band was worth watching. Usually you need a shit band in the middle to take a break during, but I would be in the pit for hours... until I died.

I wish it were true...it would be a dream come true

But the fact is that the correct date is June 16 2010

Blaise, thank you for the news of the day! I've posted about this festival last week in the Upcoming concerts thread, but at that time Megadeth weren't confirmed yet.

It will be awesome!

For the record, I consider Testament not Anthrax as the 4th part of the Big Thrash Four.

Anyone coming to Poland? Herrie?

P.S. Other Sonisphere dates are:

Knebworth, UK
Prague, Czech Rep.
Stockholm, Sweden
Pori, Finland
Zurich, Switzerland
Sofia, Bulgaria
Athens, Greece
Bucharest, Romania
Istanbul, Turkey
Barcelona, Catalunya

But...as it stands so far line up for UK is gonna be a bit different

------
P.S.2: Anthrax will perform with Bush on vocals!

P.S.3: The Big 4 line up is featured only in Warsaw and Prague out of the cities which have been fully confirmed. UK gets Rammstein and Maiden, Sweden and Finland get Maiden and Heaven & Hell

What about America? You know, the place where all those bands are from?

I seriously would've considered going to Poland if KISS wasn't playing in Holland 2 days later (which I already have tickets for for the whole family...).

Anyone want to sponser me a trip to Poland haha. Well atleast I'm going to see American Carnage next month Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament. Maybe not quite as nostalgic but it should be a darn good show.

To me that sounds way better than a show with Metallica...

We'll take that deal. I'd love to see either show, but since the bands are being ungrateful to all that America has done for them...

Come on, Metallica still have it when it comes to live shows. Regardless of the music quality on the currently promoted album, they still play 80s stuff for over 50% of the stage time!

That is true. Just because you release a crappy album doesn't mean you stop knowing how to play MOP. I have never seen Metallica and I probably never will. I want to see them but their tickets are too expensive. It would need to be a show of the Sonisphere nature to get me to pay.

It doesn't have anything to do with crappy releases. I've tried watching several recent live registrations on tv and every time they played slow, uninspired and simply boring. Even the old stuff which they should know how to play. I refuse to ever watch that band again, the last time I saw them was in 1993 and I would like to keep it that way.

Yeah I agree with Dennis. Metallica sucks live... especially for how much they charge.

Ticket for this festival is cheaper than admission to a Rammstein concert.
