The MRU Rulebook

First off, welcome to Metal-R.US, a site made by metal fans for metal fans. A site designed to bring together the metal community. But first, we have some guidelines and rules that you must follow.

* NO SPAMMING: We know, do not worry. If you want to advertise your website or band please do so in the designated forums. You do not need 10 threads to get your point across. Failure to abide by this rule will end in immediate banning. Harsh, we know but that's why we have a designated forum for advertising. Posting for purely commercial reasons is not allowed. This means offering any product for money.

* Politics/Religion: Yes, we do allow discussions on Politics and Religion. However, we do not allow Elitism or Racism. Because of the sensitive nature involved in this forum any failure to abide by this standard will end in immediate banning.

* Genre fights are not allowed. We don't care if you think that this or that band is "this" genre while others say it's "that" genre. So please refrain from that kind of "discussion".

* All sig images should be 468x80 or less and can contain up to 4 lines of text. Signatures containing non-Latin characters or links to illegal content are not allowed. Any sig not meeting the requirements will be deleted. One image only!

* We provide you with an attachment feature that is to be used for uploading images and certain document types. Although there is a virus scanner running on its server, MRU can't be held responsible for any damages caused by attachments its members have uploaded. Get a decent virus scanner on your computer. There is to be no indecent or offensive images posted on MRU. Failure to abide by this will result in a warning.

* Although there is no specific rule on conduct regarding interaction with other members we do expect members to behave and treat everyone respectfully. You will have disagreements with people but DO NOT INSULT or VERBALLY ATTACK any other member here. We encourage good discussions and debates but to attack another poster verbally is unacceptable. Remember, we are a family here and need to support one another despite what we may think about a certain issue because that is what makes us unique in our own way.

* BANNED EMAIL: It has come to our attention that certain mail domains have problems with our automated account confirmation mails. If you run into a banned email message it most likely is the case that we identified the mail domain you used as such a domain. Please use a different email address to sign up with. Also if you don't receive an account confirmation mail, please let us know through our feedback page. All unconfirmed accounts will be deleted automatically 3 days after registration.
