lol.....14 inches. thats a minor inconvenience around here that will be cleared off the roads and sidewalks in a few hours. you'd think it was the apocalypse the way this guy acts, i know DC/baltimore dosn't have the capacity to handle that kind of snowfall, but come on, overreacting a bit.

We actually ended up with over 2 feet here today. It was 6-12 inches last weekend. In December it was about 2 feet as well. Then we are getting more snow on Tuesday or Wednesday. You are right though. People here overreact a lot. I just like that I probably will not have to work on Monday. Kids will be out of school for a week. It stopped snowing here a few hours ago and not one plow has been down our street. We haven't even bothered shoveling yet. They kept saying more was coming so we decided to wait. I only posted the Facebook pics because my mom asked me what it looked like here. (and she lives like 3 miles from me) lol

it wasn't directed at you about the overreacting, i just figured you'd get a kick out of that since your experiencing it right now. hell, people around here do the same thing. when i worked at price chopper, if a big storm was coming in, people would still be running out to stock up on food like they were going to get stuck in there house for days, and as i said, baring a giant giant GIANT storm, the rodes will usually be cleared about an hour after the snow has stopped falling. there even kept pretty clear AS the snow is falling providing it's not coming down to fast, even in the fastet falling snow, usualy theres no more then 2-3 inches on any road at any given time

So for my writing class I have to write a 500 word essay on a visual culture item, so I thought about it and I'm going to use one of Amon Amarth's songs/music video and just talk about how great it is. Should be fun.

Yeah you should have seen the stores this week. It was like a Black Friday sale. I went to the store on Wednesday and it took me 40 minutes to check out. The storm was supposed to start Friday! It was nuts. I am jealous. I wish Baltimore had their shit together. I am telling you. Nothing is plowed. It sucks. We haven't even shoveled yet. We wanted to watch a movie first lol.
