And why do they have rounds with Praying Mantises? I thought they were endangered.

Not all species of the mantis are endangered.

What some people may not understand is that a lot of these fights are simply not fair. A mantis, for example, is a stealth hunter. It stays still until striking and eating its prey alive. Also, putting a poisonous creature vs a non poisonous is usually in favor of the poisonous. Unless its the Stag Beetle. Those things have the hardest exoskeleton of any insect.

Yeah the stag appears unbeatable. And yeah the scorpion vs tarantula was epic, eventually the spider died from the poison. Interesting how bugs somehow end up on their backs randomly when they die.
