I remember the hit and it was illegal. However, there was a hit on Brees that wasnt called either. I guess the media is trying to find any excuse why their golden boy didnt make the championship game. They should be looking at his crucial turnover as the regular time was starting to expire. Didnt even give his kicker a chance with the costly INT. lol

It is the NFL officiating committee that is saying it was an illegal hit not the media.
Why the NFL would do this is beyond me. It is just stupid, the game is over, saying this now changes nothing. All it really does is make Vikings fans feel like the team was screwed. What purpose does that serve?

Exactly. There just seems to be this stigma about Favre and thats why people make fun of John Madden so much because he puts Favre on this giant pedestal as if he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Im not saying the officiating was great in that game but i just dont see how Minny was screwed out of anything. They had all the turnovers and the defense still gave them a chance to get it done. i agree with you, no purpose this late in the game.

As far as turnovers go if that call had been made correctly you can take 2 turnovers away because one of them was on that play, the other in overtime,which may never have been.
That is all I have to say about the turnovers.

That was a damn good game. Colts totally fell apart toward the end and I won money betting some dude at Woodstocks pizza (where I was watching the game) that the Saints would get an interception in the second half to win it. Got my pizza paid for!!!

I didn't either until the day of the game. I had to work anyway. I was invited to a few "Super Bowl" parties, none of which I think I would have attended.

I don't mind watching the Super Bowl. Football is fun to watch when they actually make impressive plays. But most of it is action for 20 seconds, waiting 4 minutes for the next 20 seconds, and then a commercial. Do this 100 times and you have a football game.

I love playing it, but it's like watching baseball on tv. In person it's great, but on tv it's lame as hell.
