so, this is a game by super awesome developer of awesomeness valve, makers of the super awesome portal and half life franchise. Left 4 Dead is a first person zombie horror survival co-op extravaganza. and when i say zombie horror, i mean MOTHER FUCKING ZOMBIES. these fuckers come at you fast and furious, and in mind blowing numbers. in one short lvl it won't be uncommon for your entire party to rack up 600 or more total zombie kills, and that was just the early lvls. the zombies are fast, their smart, and they want to tear your guts out.

This game focuses hugely on the team aspect of it. you play as one of 4 zombie apocalypse survivors who run from same room to safe room trying to get to an ultimate un infested area. carry 2 weapons at a time, unlimited ammo pistols and your choice of assult rifle, hunting rifle, uzi and a few different shotguns. if you hang out in one area to long, zombies spawn from near by and swarm over cars and buildings in an effort to get you. the name of the game is keep moving, keep shooting, and above all else, survive.

The death system in this is awsome, when you die, you just get knocked to the ground, unable to get up, but you can still assist your team makes by shooting with your pistols from the ground untill a team mate comes over to revive you, which they have precious few seconds to do. get knocked down again, and now when your revived, your health slowly drains away untill you can get a med kit.

I've only played through a few lvls so far, and it's fun solo, but this game would be a fucking blast 4 player co op. plus theres a mode where you can play as the infected in a live match and try to kill the player controlled survivors

It's only about 2hrs of gameplay across 4 missions, but there are some ways of varying it to make it different every time.

It does sound awesome but not particularly good value.

It takes about 80mins per Lvl, each level contains 5 stages. So that 2 hrs of play thing I saw in the IGN video review is bs.
I've been playing with one of my mates online, sooo much fun. Other 2 mates are getting it this week, so I'll be able to tell you guys how it is 4 playerc co-op.
The fact that it is so simple makes it great.

I played it yesterday at a friend's house. It's badass. I imagine it's pretty fun online too.

	It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
