best fantasy series since LOTR?... definetly!

Characters are fantastic to relate to and the series is EPIC! Some of my favourite fantasy books ever..

i wouldn't go quite so far as to say the best fantasy series since LOTR. the series is very laggy in alot of parts.....path of daggers was an awfule book, and crown of swords was a bit draggy too. it's an real up and down series.....don't get me wrong, i love those books too, but i'd have to give more props to terry goodkinds sword of truth series personaly. Or David Eddings series. But ya, Wheel of Time is the shit. New books coming out soon. http://www.tor.com/jordan/

what say you of r.a. salvatore and "the dark elf trilogy" ?

i actualy havn't read much of dark elf or forgotten relms for that matter.....i have the books but every time i get into them i get side tracked by something else.....right now i'm heavy into pratchett

oh, i know it's good reading......i've gotten about 200 pages into the first of the dark elf series, but like i said, ever time i start a new book from goodkind, drake, farland, or jordan comes out, which are all established series i'm in the middle off that arn't finished.....so those always take precedent.

	It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
