I think I read that book about 16 years ago. Kid ends up hiding in a cave in some sort of plateau, uses a slingshot to work it all ot? I checked it out from the library. lol That's probably whee the bulk of my "new" books will come from cause it's free. except for the gas to get there. What sucks is that they made that book inot a movie in the 60's but it was a made-for-t.v. movie. Thus, Amok can no watchee. If I ever get an agent, I'm adapting that book for another, better movie. I'd love to play the part of the main guy too, but they'd have to attach a beard to me. Hey, enraged, can I borrow your beard? Always wanted to run around in the desert naked but never had the gusto! And I think Anthony Hopkins would be a good bad guy in that. Either him or .....Gary Oldman!

in my creative writing class we all got to pick a fiction book to read and this sounded interesting from what Amok said. I just finished it literally 3 minutes ago and it was really good.

It started off rocky, but the last half was awesome, and i was extremely worried towards the end because i fucking hate it when a main character i care about loses to somebody that i hate in the end. it honestly makes the entire book a waste of time to read. it would be like if in return of the jedi luke dies from emperor palatine and he and vader live happily ever after, in a galaxy far far away.

i dug it and i am going to making a comic book of it for a class project. i'll make sure to show you amok.

If I ever get an agent and an opted to adapt a book to a screenplay, this is first on the list. It was a amde for T.V. movie in the early 70's? But no on saw it and it can be better. Hell, I'd love to play the main character and get 2nd degree sunburns while filming. "...To make the scenes more realistic, Amok didn't use any sunscreen. Those burns and blisters you see on the screen are real burns and blisters. That crazy sonofabitch."

and the stupid reference to the desert being like a salad was pretty fucking retarded.

i could actually see you pulling it off, and for a main character, you would have to have someone who doesn't look crazy, but can act fucking crazy. a young jon voight would be perfect for Madec.
